Introduction:  The Program has been designed to revolve around three areas:

1.  Understanding the Quran in its original Arabic

2. How to get closer to Allah as a working professional or full time student.    

Sample Topic: Attaining closeness to Allah during a busy workday (Webinar recording)

3. Composing and implementing a personalized Islamic spirituality plan through consistent one-on-one guidance.

 

Details:  (Please note: below is only a two month sample outline of the program.)

 

Week 1:

a)      One-on-one session over phone/skype to set up personalized goals, to analyze current time commitments, factors for lack of motivation, etc.

b)      Introduction to the understanding the Quran section via Webinar.   Dates for achieving 50% to 70% of the Arabic of the Quran and why a person will stick to it.

c)      Introduction to Deconstruction of the Heart section via Webinar.   Dichotomy between practices and heart analysis.  Mental recognition vs. Spiritual State.

Topic #1: Introduction to Purification of the Soul  (تزكية النفس)

 

Week 2:

a)      One-on-one check in via phone/text/email to track goals and general Q and A.

b)     Understanding the Quran via Webinar:  6% of the vocabulary of the Quran

c)      Deconstruction of the Heart via Webinar:  Cyclical Time / Worship Connection.  Practice of the week: Etiquette of waking up in the morning

Topic # 2:  Purity of  Worship (الأخلاص)

 

Week 3:

a)      One-on-one check in via phone/text/email to track goals and general Q and A.

b)     Understanding the Quran via Webinar:  8% of the vocabulary of the Quran

c)      Deconstruction of the Heart via Webinar:  Practice of the week:  Etiquette of eating

Topic #3: Breaking the Desire of the Stomach (  كسرالشهوة البطن)

 

Week 4:

a)      One-on-one check in via phone/text/email/ to track goals and general Q and A.

b)     Understanding the Quran via Webinar:  12% of the vocabulary of the Quran

c)      Deconstruction of the Heart via Webinar:  Practice of the week: “Winter is the Springtime of the Believer”- Establishing the Night prayer
Topic #4:  Curing the disease of showing off  (الرياء)

 

Week 5:

a)      One-on-one check in via phone/text/email to track goals and general Q and A.

b)     Understanding the Quran via Webinar:  22% of the vocabulary of the Quran

c)      Deconstruction of the Heart via Webinar:  Practice of the week: Etiquette of putting on clothes and shoes

Topic #5:  Trust & Reliance upon Allah (التوكل)

 

Week 6:

a)      One-on-one check in via phone/text/email to track goals and general Q and A.

b)     Understanding the Quran via Webinar:  29% of the vocabulary of the Quran

c)      Deconstruction of the Heart via Webinar:  Practice of the week: “Winter is the springtime of the Believer” – Fasting

Topic #6:  Love of Allah (المحبة)

 

Week 7:

a)      One-on-one check in via phone/text/email to track goals and general Q and A.

b)     Understanding the Quran via Webinar:  31% of the vocabulary of the Quran

c)      Deconstruction of the Heart via Webinar:  Practice of the week: Leaving the House and going to the Masjid

Topic #7:  Developing Concentration in the Salah (خشوع في الصلاة)

 

Week 8:

a)      One-on-one check in via phone/text/email to track goals and general Q and A.

b)     Understanding the Quran via Webinar:  33% of the vocabulary of the Quran

c)      Deconstruction of the Heart via Webinar:  Practice of the week:  Combining Acts of Worship

Topic #8:  Combating Love and Desire for the world (حب الدنيا)
